What is an Occupational Therapist (OT)?

An Occupational Therapist (O.T) is a health professional who is responsible for helping patients develop, recover and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. Their patients have generally lost these abilities because of mental, physical, developmentally or emotionally disabling conditions.

What do we do?

During assessments, we assess a variety of conditions such as:- brain injury, back injury, chronic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, fractures of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, tendon injuries, sprains, strains and work related injuries.

how do we do it?

We use various approaches to return patients to the life that they used to love. These may include: - Functional Capacity Evaluations, Strength, coordination, flexibility exercises and work conditioning.
